Sheeba Gollapalli (born 13 March 1996) is a peace educator, women peace leader, and social worker. She is a Unitar Scholar, known for her contributions in various fields.[1]
Biography trukaña
Sheeba was born in Rajahmundry, India, to Christian Parents Shri. Nirmal Kumar & Sujana Jayalakshmi Boora. Her spouse VRS Teja is the President for F1Meetup, India's First Formula One Fan Club. Sheeba studied social work and later founded a community-based organization to serve her community.[2]
She attended Women Leadership for Peace Studies in Geneva, Switzerland, at UNITAR and got exclusive access to visit the International Museum of the Red Cross and Red Crescent. She represented India with UNITAR Fellowship Delegates and has worked as a UN Online Volunteer and Global Youth Ambassador for Theirworld.
Her inspiration comes from Kandukuri Veeresalingam, whom she quotes as the Father Of Rajahmendramvaram. A personality who encouraged education for women, remarriage of widows, and fought against child marriage & dowry system in the 19th century. She shares her thoughts about this great personality in her speeches with United Nations Fellows & International Delegates.[3]
Notable Work trukaña
During the challenging times of Covid-19, Sheeba played a crucial role by airlifting 6 Oxygen Concentrators from the USA in an emergency cargo flight. She got them donated & installed in District Government Hospital, Rajahmendramvaram, saving many lives. This kind gesture was widely appreciated by national papers & leaders in 2020.
She has also been actively involved in reaching out to cyclone-affected families, notably during Cyclone Fani. She provided essential amenities, including medicines, food, and lunches, to over 4000 people in Puri, Orissa, in May 2019.
In August 2023, Sheeba organized & conducted a Road Safety Drive in Rajahmendramvaram to raise awareness among school students, youth & auto-rickshaw drivers.[4]
